Turkey Day
Although our Thanksgiving this year was limited to just 5 people (or maybe just four and a half since Jubilee didn't eat turkey), we had a nice time nevertheless. Caleb's friend and coworker Jeff joined us for the traditional fixings. Jeff moonlights as a cooking instructor, so I felt a little nervous cooking in front of him in our tiny kitchen with sub-par cooking equiptment, including a sorry set of knives and no turkey platter. But the turkey tasted great, and the mashed potatoes, squash, sweet potato pudding, and stuffing wasn't bad either. Sad to say the biscuits didn't make it through. Jeff served up a magnificent pumpkin cheesecake, which Wyatt had been asking to taste since the beginning of the evening. After dinner, when Wyatt was asked what he had to be thankful for, he replied "I'm thankful I have a good mommy...and a friend to share dinner with...and a baby sister who has lots of sugar for me to steal!"
